Logic (publisher's editorial)
Hi
ya!
A
warm welcome to our newest readers and a rowdy howdy to our
regulars. It's so wonderful to see your bright and happy face!
I have some terrific news.... I haven't crashed ALL weekend! Woo
Hoo! I can't tell you how thrilled I am:) I think I've finally started
breathing again...
This is actually Friday's edition. I'm playing catch up:)
It was a busy weekend in the Reddell household. My hubby
got back into town from the road on Friday. Then there was
a weeks worth of his laundry to do. Coolers to unpack, clean
up. Bedding to wash... (his truck has a sleeper in it).
Then yesterday, Elliott participated in the Central Plains
Honor Band. His band director nominated him for
participation. Before and after school practice, along with
wrestling practice made for a busy week for us. Elliott was
supposed to sit in 7th chair, which was the last seat in the
trombone section. The first six chairs were filled with
Juniors and Seniors. Elliott was the sole Freshman
participating in the Honor Band. After practicing his
tail off all week, one school never showed up and there
were a handful of students who were ill. Therefore,
Elliott was bumped into second chair. Only problem was,
he had learned and practiced the sixth chair part all week.
Soooo... he spent the day in seclusion, learning the second
chair part. Learn it he did. The band pulled off the concert
with flying colors! My little musician :`)
The boys are out of school tomorrow, in celebration of Martin
Luther King Jr.'s Day. Elliott still has wrestling practice, early
in the morning (5:30). And after school as well. Looks like
another busy week ahead. :)
This delayed edition of the Sassy Classy-Fieds is a whopper.

How To Make A Screen
Capture
Okay,
you've seen screen captures. You know, those windows pictures we use
so extensively in our Newbie Club Ebooks and Website
tutorials.
How is this
accomplished?
Ctrl + Print
Screen is the key
This is where
the Print Screen key on your keyboard comes in handy. It may be
called PrntScn on your keyboard, or some other variant.
But it's purpose is to make a copy of whatever is on your
screen. It copies the info to the Windows clipboard. Then you can
paste into another document that will accept it, such as Word, or
a graphics program.
But what if you
want to capture only the active window - the actual window
that you may have just brought up on your screen?
That's when you
use two keys together. The Alt and the Print Screen keys.
Hold down the
Alt key. Press the Print Screen key. That's it! You've just made
a copy of the active window, placing it on the clipboard,
ready to insert wherever you want to insert it.
I use a graphics
program called Paint. It comes with your computer. You
can try it now. It's really cool! Or you can use some other
graphics programs that are far more robust. However, nothing
too fancy is required to make these screen captures.
And now you know
how it works. Here's an idea factory for you. Use this
skill to illustrate anything that requires a picture. Use it
to help people "get the picture." It's the driving force
behind The Newbie ClubT Learning System. we use it for all of our
tutorials, ebooks, and anything else requiring a picture to help
you understand your computer. And you can do the same!

They offer a plethora of services, both free and paid.
Things like adverts, websites, downloads, a marketing
course via email, pop-up blocker, an ezine and even a
traffic exchange (120,000 users). Or how about the
kickin' networking community... All at no charge.
AdlandPro also offers paid services such as: a traffic
exchange, Search Engine submissions, Pay-Per-Click
advertising, and Banner/Text advertising, ezine
advertising and much more.
There are both free and paid memberships available.
The Gold membership runs $24.95 a month. Gold
memberships come with some nice perks. There's
an affiliate program in which you earn credits for
advertising and monetary compensation also.
Lisa Note: I have been a member of AdlandPro for
several years now. Although I haven't actively promoted
for some time now, my standing in the ranks is pretty
good. Out of 15,555 sites, I rank overall, number 443
and for January, 2005, I rank 628. Now, I'm not telling
you this to brag, but to make a simple point. AdlandPro
is viral marketing at it's best. I also have received one
check from the company, back when I was actively
promoting. And yes, the check stub is sitting on my
desk.
You're truly a wonder, with all the difficulties
you've had going on, you take the time to help me
find a way to back up my computer. Thank you,
Thank you.
